What You’ll Do
Are you a licensed Skin Therapist with a passion for helping people achieve healthy, radiant skin? Do you have extensive knowledge of Dermalogica products and treatments? If so, we are looking for a Virtual Professional Skin Therapist Intern to join our US Customer Care team.
As a Virtual Professional Skin Therapist Intern, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing skincare advice, recommending products, and supporting our customers' transactional needs through live chat, email, and phone communication.
This is a paid internship opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience with a global skincare brand while developing your customer care and professional skincare expertise.
Schedule flexibility is essential, as hours will range from 10–25 hours per week based on your availability. Weekend and early morning shifts beginning at 4:00 AM PT (7:00 AM ET) will be required, along with occasional holiday coverage and support during team member absences.
This is a 12-month paid internship.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Professional Skin Therapists through Live Chat and Email, providing expert skincare guidance, addressing product inquiries, and recommending solutions tailored to individual skin concerns.
• Deliver timely, thoughtful, and effective support for customer transactions and service-related inquiries, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Support Dermalogica's educational initiatives by staying current on new products, treatments, industry terminology, and training updates.
• Partner with the Education team to maintain and enhance product information, training resources, and customer support content within the online knowledge base.
• Assist with Dermalogica consumer and professional programs, including promotional campaigns, Dermalogica Rewards, and the Professional Insider Program.
• Identify, document, and escalate customer experience trends and opportunities, acting as a voice of the customer to help drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to enhancing the customer journey by supporting initiatives that improve engagement, satisfaction, and overall service excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the customer experience remains at the forefront of all customer care interactions and business decisions.
What You’ll Bring
• Current Skin Therapist license with at least one year of hands-on professional experience, along with strong knowledge of Dermalogica products, treatments, and skincare recommendations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and building positive customer relationships.
• Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience using Zendesk or other customer relationship management (CRM) platforms is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and a customer-first mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently provide skincare guidance, product recommendations, and transactional support across multiple communication channels.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a positive team environment while supporting Dermalogica's commitment to education and exceptional customer experiences.

The expected base hourly pay rate is $18.50 The exact base hourly rate is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
